Vehicle Theft Advice

Following an Audi Q3 car being stolen overnight from the Deal area your local Community Safety Units Neighbourhood Task Force have been carrying out extensive house to house, ANPR & CCTV reviews to investigate the crime, & with the assistance of colleagues from Canterbury Police district we have tracked, located & recovered the stolen vehicle from Whitstable this afternoon. 

Kent Police would like to remind owners of vehicles with ‘keyless fob systems’ (i.e. you don’t need to put the key in the lock to unlock your car or start the engine) to keep their car key fob in a RF box when not in use – thieves do not need your physical key to steal your car, but an RF box could prevent them cloning your car key fobs signal to steal your vehicle!
